Our Wellness Team is Growing!




Denisiqi Services Society is a delegated agency under the Child, Family and Community Services Act serving five Tsilhqot’in Nations and the Ulkatcho First Nation located along Highway 20, as well as the urban population in Williams Lake, BC.


Our program has been growing rapidly in recent years – and we are growing again!  The Wellness Team provides clinical counselling services to children and youth aged 5-19; as well as weekly Outreach Programs to eight schools in the Chilcotin / Williams Lake. We also provide a range of group programs for Family Wellness / Traditional Parenting and Violence Prevention, as well as Sports/ Recreation and Cultural Events.  Are you interested in joining this busy and dynamic team?  We have two new full-time permanent positions:




Under the direction of the ACYMH Team Leader, the Clinician works from a holistic and strength-based perspective to provide direct clinical services such as intake, assessment,  treatment planning and delivery, and crisis intervention for children, youth and their families. The position also includes the facilitation of group programs (i.e., school-based outreach) on a weekly basis, as well as strong working relationships with our community partners and communities.


As a Clinician with our ACYMH Team, you must possess the following:


  • A Master’s degree in Social Work (clinical speciality or equivalent training/education), Educational Counselling, Clinical Psychology, Child and Youth Care, or equivalent; or a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and registered under the Registered Nursing Association of BC and/or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of BC

  • Lesser qualified candidates MAY be considered depending on experience in providing counselling services in a similar environment.

  • Knowledge of and willingness to learn about Tsilhqot’in and Carrier history, cultural values, practices, and protocols to inform  all aspects of the program




Our outreach program provides mental wellness promotion to school and community groups.  These programs focus on developing social skills, anxiety & depression prevention, and cultural activities.

The Aboriginal Supported Child Development Outreach Worker is responsible to provide support services to clients aged 7 – 18 who may or may not be diagnosed with special needs.  The worker will provide individual, family, and group support to both urban and rural based Tsilhqot’in and Ulkatcho member families.  Our outreach program provides mental wellness promotion to school and community groups. 


These programs focus on developing social skills, anxiety & depression prevention, and cultural activities.


This position requires high levels of intra-agency collaboration.





Preferred requirements:

  • BA in early childhood development or related field (e.g. child and youth care, psychology, social work, education);
  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education, or related filed will be considered depending on experience in providing preventative services in a similar environment. 

  • Knowledge of Tsilhqot’in and Ulkatcho culture and traditions

  • Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s License and provide a Driver’s Abstract

  • Successful applicants must pass Criminal Record checks and Criminal Record Review screening as a condition of employment
